The main Design services at Crowd
Did you know that the Crowd platform has Design, Content, Media and Technology professionals? This means that we help small, medium and large companies with complete Marketing and Technology solutions.
Specifically in Design, we offer the following services to our clients:

Basically, we help to professionalize the business with a logo, complete branding, website design, printed material, high-impact presentations and digital pieces to convey trust and credibility with the target audience.
This is done by contracting occasional Design or agile remote squads.
Of these services, the jobs with the most demand here at Crowd are:
- Website / platform / app layout
- Creation of arts for social networks (digital pieces)
- Branding
So, if you have knowledge and expertise in one of these areas and are already registered on the Crowd platform, this article is for you.
How to get more Design jobs at Crowd

In addition to selecting and directing professionals, I also evaluated and approved all the creative projects that went through Crowd throughout 2018 until 2021.
The process of choosing the professionals who will work on the projects is as follows:
- Analysis and selection of remote freelancers registered on the platform
- Receipt of proposals, with amounts
- Choosing and Hiring a Design Professional
That's why I prepared these tips to help you receive more proposals for Design jobs here at Crowd. Let's go!
1. Keep your portfolio complete and up to date
Portfolio evaluation is the first step in hiring a freelancer — a super important step.
The portfolio is the best tool that the designer has to demonstrate what he knows how to do in practice. It is through him that we will understand what his technical skills are.
So keep your Crowd profile with your portfolio up to date. Many professionals are missing out on great opportunities because they don't have the material registered on the platform. Thus, they do not pass this selection stage.
I've separated some important tips for you to be able to prepare a quality portfolio:
Specify all types of work you do and organize content into categories
If you are a hybrid designer, for example, state this in your portfolio: make it clear that you produce different materials (eg website layout, ebook layout, printed material, etc).
As we are a full service platform, several Design services are complete. For example: in the same job, we can have a demand for Branding, Printed Material, High Impact Presentation and Digital Pieces.
In complete jobs, it is interesting to keep the same professional in all stages whenever possible. Therefore, if you produce different materials, make this clear in your portfolio through categories.
At the same time, indicate your area of preference and/or greater skill
If you are a hybrid designer, let us know what types of projects you prefer to work on. Imagine that you do website layout, printed material, ebook layout and high impact presentation.
But out of these 4 categories, what you like to do the most is website layout. Highlight this information in your portfolio. This helps us a lot when selecting. And it helps you to receive proposals for very interesting jobs.
Create concept projects to enrich the portfolio (for junior designer)
If you are a professional with little experience, create concept projects to enrich your portfolio. This type of project is a great opportunity to train and demonstrate your skills as a designer.
For example, you might create a logo and complete branding for a company that doesn't exist. You can come up with a name and create a concept for this brand. Thus, you will increase the amount of work in your portfolio.
Rest assured: it makes no difference if your portfolio only has concept projects instead of completed work. What is evaluated at the time of selection is your knowledge, if you really do a cool job.
You can gauge the quality of your work through concept projects or projects you've done for another company.
Some examples of concept projects: one minimalist, Apple Car Play e Apple view.
2. Have an attractive profile on the Crowd platform
Another way to have more chances during the selection of design professionals is to have a profile that attracts attention.
In this sense, it is worth paying attention to your registered description. So, be objective and creative when filling in the blocks “Introduction Letter”, “Area of Expertise and Skills”, “Professional Experience” and other profile fields.
To help, you can use one of the formulas below:
TEMPLATE 1
I'm a [profession] that helps [client type] with [core activity] so they can [client's most desired result].
I do this through [deliverables] that work as [bridge to achieve the most desired objective by the client].
Results I got for other clients:
→ [result 1]
→ [result 2]
TEMPLATE 2
I have been working with [field of work] for [years of work]. Since then, I have developed projects aimed at different segments, such as [example of area 1] and [example of area 2].
I am more familiar with [type of project within the field], but I also have experience with [other types of project].
I learn a lot from every job, but I can say that my favorite projects are:
→ [Project 1]
→ [Project 2]
Also, keep links to social media, work, and portfolio up to date.
Another very interesting tip is to put a picture of yourself. That's right! It is common for some designers to already have their own logo and use it in the registration.
But, at this stage of analysis, the humanization of the professional can be an interesting differential. It's much more interesting for us to hire someone who can see the person's face there, than the person leaving just a logo.
Therefore, choose that very professional photo and enhance your chances of being seen during the selection process.
3. Respond quickly to the proposals you receive
Crowd currently has more than 15 professionals from different areas registered on its platform.
So, if you went through the first phase and were selected, send your proposal right away!
If your proposal is within budget, the faster you respond, the better your chances of getting the job.
So, always stay tuned for Crowd notification emails related to new open demands. We also send notifications via WhatsApp, to help you stay on top of proposals faster.
I was hired for a Design job at Crowd. And now?
After you've gone through all these steps and been chosen for the job, the job is just beginning, isn't it?
At this stage, both the creative part begins to be elaborated and its partnership with Crowd starts to have closer ties.
Therefore, this is an important moment for you to demonstrate your technical and behavioral skills to strengthen this relationship.
Thus, the tips for getting more jobs with Crowd also extend to post-hiring. So, see what to do to increase your chances of new jobs on the platform:
1. Be professional
This is a recommendation that may seem obvious, but it is essential to point out that you must meet deadlines, follow guidelines and make quality deliveries.
2. Be adequate to the platform's modus operandi
Be open to delivering materials on the Crowd model. It is important that the number of versions, the file format, the organization of folders and the agency's methodologies are respected, according to the guidelines given to the professional.
We have a unique methodology — Agile Crowd — that helps us deliver quality Design jobs in an organized manner and within an attractive deadline. But for this to happen, the remote professional must also be aware of the task management at Crowd.
Watch this video that our Operations Coordinator, Natalia Laurindo, prepared for you to have an overview of this task management:
3. Be available for lineups
Whether through emails, video calls or audio calls, the freelancer who demonstrates agility and good responsiveness can stand out in projects. So stay tuned for communication channels and be solicitous.
It is also very important to be transparent. If you have any unforeseen circumstances that prevent the delivery of the Design job on the agreed date, let us know by email. This is important so as not to disrupt the activities of the other teams involved.
4. Meet the required requirements
One of the requirements for professionals to work on projects with Crowd is the issuance of an invoice. That is, to receive payment for the job, you need to issue the document.
Important: We cannot hire a remote professional and accept invoices and company accounts from a friend of that professional. Therefore, register the CNPJ of your ownership and the respective PJ bank account of your company.
Therefore, it is important to find out about Crowd's payment policy. This policy helps us pay remote professionals on time and correctly. You check all the details here in our Help Center.
5. Be a distinctive designer
When you are hired for any Crowd job, you will receive all the necessary information for the proper development of the project.
As you have seen, it is necessary to adapt to the platform's work format in order to maintain the quality standard and the workability of the work.
But his vision and professional experience are unique! So, creative, innovative contributions that bring results to the project are always very welcome.
In more complex deliveries, such as website, platform or app design, you can record an explanatory video, showing the complete navigation.
For example, you go through the screens and defend the whys: why did you do it on this screen, why did you do it on that other screen. With this defense, you demonstrate your expertise and even collaborate to avoid redactions.
After all, the team involved in the project and the client will understand the reasons behind the design decisions.
So you already showing this explanatory video, of how it was made and how the website, platform or application will work, it's a very cool thing, okay? It already saves our intern a lot of time, speeds up the approval of the work and the approval of your payment.
